Solar house on organic estate near Alicante

Set between mountains and sea on a 65-hectare estate, this two-storey guest house blends Spanish heritage with eco-conscious living. You'll find a saltwater infinity pool with views across to Alicante and the coast, surrounded by ancient olive and carob trees.

The ground floor flows as one open space with a fireplace and daybed, plus a separable sleeping area. Upstairs, two galleries branch from separate staircases—one hosts a private enclosed bedroom, the other an open living space with dining area and small library. A spacious built-in kitchen and modern bathroom with walk-in shower complete the upper level.

The rooftop terrace spans both kitchen and bedroom gallery, offering valley views over centuries-old trees. Solar panels power the washing machine, dishwasher, water system and pool pump. Refrigerators and stove run on butane gas. There's no Wi-Fi to minimise electromagnetic exposure, though mobile reception works well for internet access.

The beach at San Juan is 20–25 minutes away. You'll find shops and restaurants in nearby Muchamiel, Jijona and Alicante, with the nearest supermarket about 15 minutes away in Jijona. The estate produces organic olive oil, almonds and carob, and protects rare local species.

About animals: We are a pet-friendly space for small or medium-sized pets. Large or aggressive breeds of dogs are not allowed.
