Close to Sejerøbugten bay, you'll find an architect-designed 70s gem where original details have been preserved, but where contemporary touches have created a modern sanctuary. The clean lines of the house create peace for the eyes and mind. The living room's large windows let in light and make nature feel like it's right at your fingertips. Prepare food in the outdoor kitchen, where you can use locally sourced ingredients while enjoying the open sky, fresh air and a cool glass of wine.
In the quiet morning, step barefoot into the garden and feel the grass between your toes as you look up at the surrounding trees. Move back inside, make a cup of coffee and a bowl of breakfast while the rest of the party gets to the table. The kitchen and dining room are divided by a half wall, so those doing the dishes can still join in the chatter around the dining table.
Out on the terrace, you can soak up the sun on sunny days. Play garden games and eat a freshly baked cake in the sun while having a good chat and laugh. Gudmindrup Beach is just a 15-minute walk away when you need a fresh sea breeze and a dip for the brave. When you get home, you can warm up in front of the wood-burning stove.

We work as a graphic designer and art director, both based in Copenhagen. When we need to get away from city life and the stresses of everyday life, there's nothing like a trip to our summer house.
We are both very passionate about art, interior design, architecture and design. We've kept the old 70s details and atmosphere, but made sure it doesn't feel like a time warp, but rather a timeless and modern retreat.
We love driving up to Odden to buy seafood. On the way there, we also swing by Kiosken for a good bottle of wine and Birkemosegaard for seasonal vegetables. We also love walks in the sunshine, dips in the sea and, not least, barbecues on the terrace after a long and active day.
