Unspoilt Nordic gem amidst nature

We are a family of four - Rasmus, Annelise and our two children, Eva and Jens, who love being in our cottage and have a dream childhood up here. The garden is big and wild, so there's plenty of space to hide, make dens, run laps around the house (the terrace goes all the way around), and the kids themselves go to their friends on the same road, make stalls on the road and swim a lot.

We love the complete peace and quiet here ourselves and we often have guests staying overnight, hanging out in the garden, cooking on the barbecue and drinking lots of wine in the open air. There are almost windows and glass doors everywhere, so light pours in everywhere, a very beautiful sight, and you always feel like you're in nature, even when you're inside. When we're here, we don't have to do anything, we just take time for the little things. For example, we're much better at cooking here than at home, even on the fire, for which we have a good pancake pan.

From the house it's about 500 meters to the two different beaches on both sides, we usually go to Sejerøbugten, where there is a jetty and which faces away from the main road. It's never very crowded, just quiet, and here children can throw stones, catch crabs from the bridge, pick flowers and of course swim.

The beach is a wide meadow, the houses are not very close to the water, so there is a nice feeling of wide open spaces. The nature is very beautiful in these parts, a bit raw with a lot of heather and conifers, beautiful in all seasons.

The area is also in bloom! A very nice bakery, Tír Bakery, has recently arrived in the area, Kiosken på Odden (cheese and wine), and then of course there is Birkemosegårds Gårdbutik and restaurant and the obligatory Odden Fisk, a very nice fish shop down in Havnebyen.
