We are a Danish/Norwegian skiing and mountain-loving family of 5 who want to share our family cabin with others who want to experience life in the mountains and all the fantastic hiking opportunities here. Our family is very active, so when we wanted to buy a cabin, Skeikampen was the natural choice. The area offers lots of exciting activities in summer and winter, which we really appreciate.
In the summer we love swimming in the fresh mountain water, cycling and hiking, and in the winter long ski trips and alpine skiing and sitting in the sun wall with the kids building snow caves are our favourites. There are more than 200 km of beautiful cross-country trails connected to both Skeikampen, Gålå, Musdalseter and Fagerhøy which start just 100 meters behind the cabin. An alpine resort with both children's slopes and challenging off-piste trails is 3 km from the cabin, and the area's ski station and illuminated trail are 1 km away. The summer also offers activities such as mountain tours, Festivals, cross-country skiing, trail cycling, fishing, canoeing and horse riding. It is a short distance to Peer Gynt Vegen and two 2-hour drives to rafting in Sjoa and hiking in Jotunheimen.
