My name's Rikke, and together with my husband and our two children, I'm lucky enough to have a little summer house in Rørvig.
We live in Copenhagen, but as soon as we get the chance, we pack the car and head for Rørvig. For us, it's become our sanctuary—a place where we can relax and let the days pass a little more slowly.
We love the simple cottage life: walks in the woods, trips to the beach, bike rides and playing in the garden with the kids. And we really appreciate all the wonderful things Odsherred has to offer. We love sourcing local produce (especially at Birkemosegaard) and really appreciate good food, an ice cream by the beach or the harbour, and the long summer evenings at Lillero (on the Sejrø Bay side).
At weekends we love the delicious baked goods from Alice in Rørvig or a coffee at Louie og Venner in Rørvig—a place where the kids can always find space to play while the adults enjoy good coffee and good food.
In short, we love Rørvig especially for its peaceful summer life centred around food, but also for being close to the changing seasons. It offers nature, a sense of connection, great local spots, and good food. And adventures await—whether out on a hike or in the large garden, which offers adventures among the trees or simply peace of mind on the terrace or around the campfire.
