An Enchanting Autumn in the Magical Mountains

I’ve grown up with Ellingbu since 1963, and the cabin’s been a cherished gathering place for the family throughout all seasons. We’ve recently upgraded the cabin with all modern amenities, including electricity, running water, and a sauna; it’s well-insulated, and the sunroom features large panoramic windows, while we’ve preserved the interior decor to maintain its personal atmosphere.

Now we’d like to share this special place with others who can appreciate its unique location and the tranquillity of the mountains. It’s the complete freedom and endless possibilities of staying at a cabin near the mountains that bring peace and many wonderful experiences in the surrounding area. There are many wonderful walking and cycling trails in the mountains and forests, as well as downhill skiing on the slopes right next to the cabin and miles of cross-country skiing nearby in the winter. You can also borrow 2 medium-sized mountain bikes.

I've also got two pairs of good, sturdy mountaineering skis available to borrow, in shoe sizes 38/39 and 42/43. At the cabin, we love to build bonfires and grill in the yard, both in summer and winter, and chop wood for our own use. There are also many outdoor and indoor games that provide fun for young and old alike. We have our own bookshelf with a wide variety of literature for those days when the weather's gloomy. On those days, it’s cosy to sit by the open fireplace in the living room and curl up on the sofa. Or sit in the heated sunroom with a sweeping view of the valley. There are many possibilities, and I recommend staying at least 3 days to truly experience the best of cabin life in Norway. Welcome.
