The summer house in Veddinge hills is a former artist's house and with the large windows and winding, green planting creates the right summer house atmosphere even before you step inside. For us, the cottage is where we meet friends and family. It's where we cook over fires, read books and bake freshly baked rolls every morning. The summer house invites us to immerse ourselves and pamper ourselves - and every time we are there, we fall more and more in love with the house, the area and not least the nature around Veddinge hills.
We have a large garden, and we enjoy being in it both summer and winter, making pancakes and snobrød over the fire. There are plenty of swings and trapeze for the kids to play with - and driving Lynghøj around in our homemade soapbox truck is a must. The beach is also a must. Sejrøbugten offers the most beautiful sea and fine white sandy beaches. Veddinge beach in particular we have fallen in love with, but Gudmindrup beach with its dunes, chalky white sand and delicious ice cream and food stalls is definitely worth a visit too. We often visit the small farm shops in the area selling fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers, the most delicious bread and other specialities. We also often go for walks in the adventure forest in Ordrup with the kids - and in general there are great walking routes in the beautiful, hilly landscape.
