Island house with deck on Knarrholmen

You’ll be staying in one of the few houses on Knarrholmen with a wooden deck that wraps around the entire building. From here, you can enjoy the view of the sea just 100 meters away, where the cliffs shimmer in various hues and birds of all sizes flit through the landscape.

Light streams in through large panoramic windows facing all directions, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere. The house does not have its own garden, but the entire island serves as your shared garden, with trees, shrubs, grass, raspberries, and blackberries to discover.

Scenic surroundings of cliffs and greenery surround you, with swimming beaches and diving platforms close at hand. Here you can swim from the cliffs, go kayaking (two kayaks included), catch crabs, or play padel. A soccer field, disc golf, and kubb are also available to try.

Public archipelago ferries run to the island.

You’ll be in Gothenburg’s southern archipelago, perfectly situated for both island life and trips into town. Restaurant Knarrholmen, one of the southern archipelago’s most well-known restaurants, serves delicious food inspired by the sea and nature. Be sure to book a table in advance when the weather is nice.
