The artist duo recently travelled to Germany in an attempt to escape their daily routines and big city life. With renewed inspiration, they have crafted a captivating artwork based on their trip.

Meet the artists

Nan Na Hvass and Sofie Hannibal both studied design at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and co-founded the design studio Hvass&Hannibal in 2006.

Nowadays, they engage in various areas including graphic design, illustrations, textiles, prints, and much more.

They distinguish themselves by possessing a distinct aesthetic featuring both abstract and precise forms and patterns – frequently drawn from nature – and always accompanied by beautiful colour combinations.

From Copenhagen to Dobbin-Linstow

Nan Na Hvass and Sofie Hannibal drove together from Copenhagen to Gedser and sailed by ferry across the Baltic Sea to the German city of Rostock. With a sailing time of just two hours, they arrived at the port and drove directly to the Landfolk holiday home, located an hour away in Dobbin-Linstow.

The Sculpture Park in Görzhausen

In the heart of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern lies a unique sculpture park. The idea for the park dates back to the 19th century, but in the 1990s, artist Wilfried Duwentester revitalised the park with modern sculptures.

Nestled in between hills and lakes is Franziska and Torsten's holiday home, which they purchased 13 years ago after falling in love with the place during a bicycle trip from Berlin to Copenhagen.
